I had my VSG on 3/12/13.  Tomorrow will be my one month.  I've lost 24 lbs.  The problem is.. I lost all that weight in the first week and a half.  I haven't lost a single pound since.  I'm so frustrated.  I follow my diet to the T.  Everything I put in my mouth is accounted for.  I'm meeting my protein goals.  I'm doing everything I can.  Yet, I'm still a fat person.  Not only am I still a fat person, but now I can't even self medicate with food.  lol

HELP!

It's normal, don't worry. It will happen. Our weight didn't go on overnight and its not going to come off overnight.

Just stick to plan

Do a search on stalls and you will get lots of information.  I know it is tough but just hang in there.  Your body just went through a major surgery and now it thinks you are starving it.  It will finally give up the fight and the scale will start moving.  You are going to see more of these through out your journey.  Take your measurements if you haven't and pictures.  This will help you measure your success in a different way.  Just make sure you are following the plan and getting your fluids and protein in.  If you are then the scale will move, if you are not getting in then you need to concentrate on that.  Hang in there!

Read the forum. You are not unique.

Mathematically you will have to lose weight.

Eat per your plan.

Exercise per your plan.

And it will work.

VSG 10/26/12 • HEIGHT 5'4"
GW = 140 lbs met Month 9
CW = 133
lbs
Loss per Month: 8 >  9 > 7 > SURGERY  > 15 > 10 > 10 > 10 > 7 > 5 > 6
  > 6 > 5 > 5 > 0

It works if you work it; it sorta works if you sorta work it; and it doesn't work if you don't work it.

I had a very similar experience. I just kept it up, and, just like everyone had promised, the stall broke and I started losing 5+ pounds a week again. I know it's hard, but just keep it up!

Oh I am right there with you. My surgery was on the 11th. I am down only 14 since surgery but 24 since preop...I am getting so frustrated. I am struggling with bathroom issues but exercising my tookas off and protein is up over 70-80 and carbs under 50 and calories 6-800. Praying for us to break this stall. It's driving me nuts.
