What's the One Thing You've Come to Depend on for your Journey?

For me, it's been hot tea....PG Tips brand, to be specific. I NEVER used to be a hot beverage drinker before surgery. I'd have maybe two cups of hot chocolate a year at Christmas time, but never otherwise, and certainly not coffee. Now, hot tea with milk is my friend. It starts my day and soothes my stomach, and is an intermittent visitor throughout the day. If I'm feeling a bit hungry, it's my go-to and usually, a nice cuppa solves the issue. Oddly, I've also developed a bit of a taste for coffee.

But tea's the thing for me.

in honor of said tea, enjoy the following...it's just fun! enlightened

Surprisingly, I depend on my protein shakes. I don't feel right without them! It helps that I actually like the ones that I have so it doesn't seem like a chore to drink them.

I agree with you on tea though. I drank tea pretty regularly before but I drink decaf tea and coffee all the time now. I just prefer warm liquids more then cold. I drink Starbucks decaf via singles because it tastes the most like regular coffee to me.

My blender bottles. One at home and one at the office. If I had to use my Ninja, I probably would have never been able to make it through the liquid diet. I hate cleaning that thing. Making protein shakes so easy has made all the difference in my journey.

My contigo water bottle. I have several but my favorite is the 32 oz and I carry it with me wherever I go. It helps me get in my water. Before surgery I probably drank only 4 to 8 oz of water a day an now I regularly hit over 100.

homemade soups, and crystal light, Fage. I too love hot tea and coffee, decaf most often.  I have become quite a fish connoisseur especially grilled and sashimi. Could eat it everyday now and prefer fish to most other meats.

I have a few goto items.

Quest bars. Love these.

Jimmy dean turkey crumbles and egg beaters

Coffee with torani or davinci syrups

Sugar free Popsicles

Boneless skinless chicken thighs

Blue diamond bold almonds

These got me past goal.

Sorry for breaking the "one" thing. But these and exercise/food logging really helped.
