Do I have to drink only 2 oz every 15 minutes?

My direction was no more than 8 ounces per hour. Which is the same as 2 ounces every 15 minutes. The only problem is that you can't really feel anything the first couple of weeks due to the swelling and the nerves being cut so you won't really feel a restriction with liquid. You can build up some pressure drinking too fast but if you are only sipping, I think you would be okay to increase consumption if you can. I think the surgeon's real worry is that you will down an 8 oz glass all in one gulp and that could cause problems.

Take it as a blessing that you can get down plenty of liquids, most can't. Good luck.
