I've tried mixing some sort of protein in real coffee and never really got it right.
Now if I want a warm coffee I use Click protein and if I want an iced coffee I use Chike protein. Both coffee flavored protein powders with 2 shots of espresso per serving. I mix the Click with water, sometimes adding a splash of unsweetened almond milk and then I nuke it. With water Click is 15 protein/120 cals.
I mix the Chike several ways, but lately have been mixing it with 4 oz. chocolate Soy Slender milk, 4 oz. unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 4 oz. water and a splash of SF vanilla Torani. I pour that over about 8 oz. of ice and drink it from my insulated tumbler all morning while I work. 25 protein/ 180 cals. You could bring that down to 160 calories by just using the unsweetened vanilla almond milk which still tastes great, but I've been having a chocolate thing lately.
I like Chike as well! It is the only brand that tastes good to me. I am pre-op. I purchased the coffee, banana, and orange creme flavors. All delicious! ( Well, at least compared to the others that I have tried!)
