To be exact, 13 weeks out yesterday. I was 540 at my first surgeon's visit August 1st, 495 on the day of surgery, and this morning I was 415. BMI's gone from 62.4 to 48. For some reason mowing my lawn has seemed a lot easier this year.

A couple Before pics:

A couple after pics:

Opening Day, 7 weeks post-op. My brother didn't recognize me at first when he was trying to find me in the park. That hoodie didn't fit me when I bought it last October.

11.5 weeks post op. This was taken just before doing a 15 mile bike ride.

Got my 100 pound pin at the support group meeting last night.

Amazing!  Enjoy this journey.  Write down all the blessings.  As you get further out, you forget some of them.  Yeah, yard work, almost enjoyable for me now.  Can pick up all the sticks in one day and not take a week to get it all done.  My favorite, sitting on the floor during story time in the nursery at church and not being miserable.

Congrats!  You are doing great!

“Not many of us are living at our best.  We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains.  The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills.  We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence.  What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb.  What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.?  JRM
