the liquid only diet?

The first few days are hard, I myself am starting as well, we can starve together lol.

I got a few bottles of isoprure (get them as GNC) I cut it with Gatorade and it taste fine as long as it's cold and they are acceptable for phase one after surgery as well.  They honestly surprised me how much they fill you up. The protein intake rumor about making you feel less hungry is very very true.

You can do it!!! We can do it!!

Hey girl! You can do this. Honestly, for me the liquid diet was the hardest part. What I did was keep focused on a new skinny me. Just think in five months you could be 86 pounds lighter. That's how much I have lost. Victoria's Secret is now my favorite store whereas before I hated even walking past it. Just imagine how great that will feel because that's going to be you soon.

You are going to do great! Just hang in there.

Hang in there. It should get better. I started my preop diet four days ago and the first three days were awful. I was completely miserable. Probably didn't help that I also went cold turkey on caffeine! But I woke up today feeling great. I have lots of energy, no real hunger, not having recurring thoughts about the horrible crap I have to eat on this diet, etc. I think most people say the first three days are the absolute worst, and then it gets easy. That was absolutely true for me. The amount of time you need may be a little different, but I'll bet you get there. Just keep plugging away. I found it helped to do things that required physical activity to get my mind off of it -- do some housework, take the dog for a walk, go to Home Depot and price out possible new kitchen counters -- anything! Good luck.

The pre-op liquid diet is hard, but it does get a bit easier after the first few days.  It helps to keep as busy as possible, to keep your mind on anything but food.

I also kept telling myself that the two weeks of pre-op diet were such a small percentage of my whole life.  The average American woman lives to about 80.  That's 4,160 weeks, which means a 2 week diet is about 0.04% (if I did my math correctly).  You can definitely do it, it'll be on to the next step before ya know it!
