It's ALIVE!!!
Finally home from the hospital, and post-op. Surgery was on June 18, and I have to say I was sick as a dog for so many days, I honestly was wondering if I would have gone through with the sugery if I had known how bad it would be.
Nausea, couldn't keep anything down, not even an ice chip, couldn't get comfortable, BP 227/98, etc etc etc. Kidney damage from meds I was given that never should have been prescribed for me. Nurses who screwed up. (sigh). Thank God it's over.
I'm home after five long horrendous days. Still weak as a kitten, can barely walk.
Gained 16 lbs in five days from IV fluids.
So bloated it's hard to breathe when i'm laying down.
But it's over. It's over, and it should be better every day...at least that's what I'm hoping.
Well aren't you just the poster child for Murphy's Law??? I'm sorry it was such a difficult time. Things will get better and better every day and soon it will be a distant memory. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It's great to be home, isn't it?
