Any reason I couldn't eat raw oysters with my new sleeve?  I'm 3 months out and have vacation scheduled.  I absolutely love oysters on the half shell (and they are low carb ).  Of course, as this is July (a month without the letter "R" in the name), I'll stick to the cold water variety.  Just curious?

You should be good to go with it. Just make sure they are fresh and from a reputable place. You can use something like My Fitness Pal to get the stats on oysters. Enjoy your vacation.

What other seafood can be rough on a sleeve? Calamari?

Good question. I guess your question is related to the rubbery nature of calamari? I have only had seafood that I can chew and was not fibrous or chewy, so I am not sure. I have had shrimp, scallops, all kinds of fish, lobster, crab. No problems.

Enjoying my calamari salad lunch as I type (oops, no, I'm not eating at the computer;). No issues with it for me.

I tried a raw oyster on the half shell at 6 months out. I have a sleeve of steel. The oyster went down well enough and just filled me up right away. I could not eat another bite for 3 hours. So ...good for satiety. Cheap date??
