So I'm at the stage where I can I eat tuna my list says I can have 1/4 cup of tuna salad with light mayo. Does that mean I can add jalapeño juice and lettuce or is that going to far? I'm such a picky eater tuna and eggs are not my favorite foods but they are high in protein so I gotta find ways to make it work. Help!! :)

Does it say to add jalapeno juice? I would think not.

There's probably not much room to be picky any more. I've eaten a ton of **** in the past nine months that I didn't like but I'm supposed to eat. It's not about what we "want" to eat any more, right? It's about what we are SUPPOSED to eat.

Follow the plan! Take care of your tummy!

It took me about 7 weeks before the queeziness went away.  Before that, the thought of eating anything would make me queezy.  But it does pass.

I think you just have to keep trying things that are allowed until you find the few things that work for you, and then eat them a lot.  I found sea food to be the easiest to digest.  Sea scallops and broiled fish are still my staples, with a little chicken and tuna thrown in.

Good luck on your journey.  It's hard work, but it is so worth it when the pounds start falling away.

best wishes,

Carol

Yeah--fish and tuna salad saved my life. I still don't like chicken (too dry and stringy). I DID make chicken salad with the canned chicken, that's very moist and was easy to get down. Smoked salmon with cream cheese too, that was excellent (one-to-one ratio, 1/3 less fat cream cheese). Cottage cheese and those little fruit cups (not with added fruit juice or sugar).

I hate eggs. I've tried them off and on to see if I re-like them, but a crappy omelet the other day confirmed that I do not. I'll try them cooked a different way and see if that helps.

You should try things now and then, sometimes tastes change along the way.

But it's all about fiddling around, trying stuff out. Just get in your protein and water, the rest is fluff right now for you :)

Hi Nancy! My NUT said pickle juice can be added for extra moisture. Jalapeño might be too spicy?

My diet plans don't say I can have vegetable juice, so I am wondering why not some jalapeno juice? If it's your thing and it doesn't cause you GI distress, why not? I assume it isn't like you will be using ounces and ounces of it
