Not getting enough protein
Can you drink a yogurt smoothie? Fage 0 has 23 grams per cup. Blend with water, a little OJ, a couple of strawberries and Splenda to taste. If you can get two cups of yougurt in a day and a glass of milk or soy milk, that's over 50 grams of protein. With a little meat, you'll be at 60 grams.
Some people do well with Isopure, which is a clear protein drink. Have you tried it?
I liked GNC Gold Standard Whey Protein mixed with decaf coffee. I used a shaker cup because it had too much foam when I made it with a blender.

No strawberries!!!!!!!!!!!! The seeds can get caught in your staple line and cause a leak. Wait until you are cleared for the berries!

How are you mixing your shakes, and into what liquid(s) are you mixing them? FWIW I would gag every time I tried a protein shake mixed in the blender because it added too much air. I use a shaker bottle instead (Blender Bottle is my favorite) and have had no further problems. Just a thought.
Have you tried Unjury Chicken Soup protein? It's meant to be consumed warm. Trying a soup-type protein might help. It also might work to mix unflavored protein powder with chicken or beef broth. You have to follow preparation instructions, though, and not make it too hot so that you avoid the dreaded Protein Powder Puffy Pancake.
You could also add unflavored protein powder to things like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, egg salad, chicken salad ... lots of things. One-percent milk or skim milk will also yield some protein.
Hang in there! It's work early on to add foods AND try to hit quotas, but it gets easier. You'll be a pro in no time and will be adding your own experience to the forum to help others. :)
I am a bit fan of the unflavored! I use isopure... just got the unjury samples and will be trying those soon too! You can mix it in with any sauces you might add to your meats. It is a great way to get in that extra protein without feeling like you're eating a protein shake.

Try something that does not have lactose in it. If you are a coffee drinker, try adding some to the morning coffee. There are shots out there called New way, only a few ounces but I think around 42 grams of protein.

If you haven't tried Syntrax Mint Cookie protein powder, and you like Thin Mints, TRY IT.
You can't even tell that you're having a protein drink, it is that good. I tried it today for the first time mixed with water, and OMG...it is so good! And it's 23 g of protein per scoop.
