Restaurant help!
Hi,
I think you'll find restaurants are no problem. My first meal out was about 3 weeks post surgery, and I ordered a sea scallop appetizer and it worked out just fine. I often order fish, or grilled chicken in various sauces and preps. I only eat a fraction of it, and take the left-overs home,
I think you'll do just fine. Enjoy your weekend.

So, you'll be six weeks out? I think I was in puree foods at that time.
Honestly? I'd stick with a broth based soup because the last time you want to do is eat something new and have it not sit well and be miserable during the concert. Just my 2 cents. I'd def not do su****hat just sounds rough if it doesn't go well. LOL!

Honestly, I was reading through all the posts and thought - good comments. But, the one about trying to stick with something simple like a broth soup sounds the safest to me. I would not want to be out of town hoping to have a good time and feel miserable. I don't think you can go wrong with a broiled fish also.
If you're already on solids, then yay! But yourr sleeve isn't mature yet, so take it easy.
Personally, I like ordering an appetizer as my entree- if they have something like yakitori or satay (chicken on a stick!), it's about right, and a low enough price point that I can eat what's comfortable and leave the rest there without feeling terribly wasteful.
Have a blast! I they were just here in Chicago, and some friends said it was a really fun show. Maybe stash a protein bar in your purse in case you get tangled in crowd traffic, and water, water, water - a huge crowd gets hot and stressful.
