It varies with your diet plan. so you should check with your surgeon or nutritionist, and follow their guidelines.

For me, I could have applesauce the 2nd week, other fruits, lettuce and tomatoes and well-cooked veggies after 4 weeks.  I have a while to go before I can have raw veggies  (don't remember how long.)

It seems to me that different surgeons have different guidelines on these things so check with yours. Mine cleared me to eat whatever I wanted except for alcohol at four weeks. My birthday was exactly one month out and I had some green beans with my dinner that night.

This is definitely a surgeon question.

You have to make sure you know what he wants you to do. Some are OK with baby food fruits at puree...some say too many carbs. Some say fruits and veggies 4 weeks, some say only soft ones until week 6.

Keep this in mind though. The ideal way to lose weight post VSG is protein protein protein. You want to fill the sleeve with protein...not veggies and fruit. After you've had the main part of your protein meal...have a little veggies/fruit when surgeon says OK...but the more protein...the fuller you feel for longer, and the better the success. You do need the carbs...but protein is it.
