9 Days out - can I use the Eliptical?

I was thinking it wouldn't shake my tummy so do you think I could use the elliptical - I haven't tried but just brainstorming about activities I can do to provide diversity in my exercise since I can't go back to Zumba for another 5 weeks.  I am 9 days post-op.

I haven't been cleared to do stuff like that for a couple more weeks and I'm nearly 3 weeks out.

It seems to me at just over a week out my exercise consisted of walking and doing light housework. I would think exercise such as an elliptical should wait until around 4 weeks after your surgery. You probably have information about exercise in your post-op instructions. If in doubt, ask your surgical team. I'm glad you're feeling well enough to even consider it though! :)

Actually, I am having pain and severe itching on my incisions - the surgeon said that I am allergic to the dermabond they used on them and has given me a prescription ointment (they still itch and make sleeping nearly impossible) but I am so driven to loose weight and competitive too - shame on me!! So I hear someone lost X amount their first month and I want to beat that - unfortunately, I probably should just let it happen when it happens.

Due to the lack of sleep and probably just the fact that I had surgery 9 days ago - I am exhausted so any exercise - I have to really push myself. But I do.

I was not cleared for the elliptical until 4 weeks out. My dr said if i could do the if i kept my arms down by my side. She didnt want me doing anything that moved my core. Other then that I was told to walk.
