newbie - What is NSV?

What does NSV stand for? reading post i can tell it is good news and I am looking forward to my own but do wonder what it stands for.

NVS = Non-scale Victory(ies).

Highest Weight: 565 pounds (around 1999), Highest BMI: 94

Pre-op Weight: 476.40 pounds (2 weeks before {05/25/2010} VSG surgery), Pre-op BMI: 79.3

Lowest Weight: 153.5 pounds (as of 07/10/2013), Lowest BMI: 25.5

Current Weight: 350.75546 pounds (351 lb 0 oz./159.1 kilograms (as of 04/22/2019), Current BMI: 58.3

I wondered the same thing. I thought maybe..No small victory? Not sure.

It means Non Scale Victory.  Anything great that you had happen that did not involve the scale.  Being able to cross your legs, getting into a smaller size of clothing, being able to wear an airline seatbelt without the extender, being able to fit in a ride at Disney World, seeing someone you haven't seen in a while and they didn't recognize you because you lost so much weight.  The list goes on.

        

 Surgery date - 04/03/13; Goal date - 11/10/13 (I reached goal in 31 weeks & 4 days)

Highest weight 261  SW 258  GW 150   M1 -26  M2 -14  M3 -10  M4 -12  M5 -13  M6 -12  M7 -11  M8 -10  In maintenance since November 2013  HT- 5'6"
