Liver Biopsy results freaking out a bit

I receive my results back today at my 2 week post op which I am doing great according to the PA, however I am being referred to a liver specialist.  My results came back with fibrosis liver stage 2.  What does this mean I am so scared nervous is this reversible?

I have lupus and have been taking medication for a long time and we believe maybe that has something to do with this plus being obese etc.

Anyone been through this?

If it's not one thing it's another add this to my list of illness..

I don't know anything about it but I hope it turns out to be something easily taken care of!  Best wishes to you, and try not to stress over it until you know more details.

It looks like stage 2 is still reversible. You need to see a specialist (Hepatologist/Gastroenterologist). And make sure they run all the Hepatitis tests. If you are close to a Mayo Clinic, I would go there.

fibrosis is reversible, but it's a pretty slow process.  I'm at 3-4/4 fibrosis from auto immune hepatitis ... which is a more specific cousin to lupus.  you might have a bit of crossover (or had in the past before you got your lupus under control).  the medications for both disease are similar i think, so you may have knocked both out at one time.  They shoudl be able to see if you have active autoimmune activity from the biopsy.  lots of other causes for fibrosis of course, but this is one possibility.

Thank you for this info I hope it is reversible and we can get this in control.  Once I have my appointment with the specialist I will keep and update.
