I'm just a month and a half post-op.  I'm curious how the heck you get in 80 grams of protein a day.  I'm struggling.

Thanks!

Multiple small meals a day.

6 weeks out should look something like - breakfast shake 30g protein, AM snack greek yogurt 12g protein, Lunch and Dinner 3oz lean protein and a bite or two of veg 20g protein, PM &/or Evening snack adds another 10-20g of protein to put you at 90-100g.  That is just one option, if you want eggs and turkey bacon for breakfast and a shake after your evening workout, it all comes out the same in the end.  Hope that helps!

I eat protein first at each meal,  and vegies only after eating 3 oz of protein.  Then I supplement with chicken broth with protein powder to make sure I hit 80 Grams per day.  Others use the protein shakes, but they are too sweet for my tummy.

It could take multiple servings of shakes/broth with protein powder early on to get to 80.

Best of luck,

Carol

It works if you work it; it sorta works if you sorta work it; and it doesn't work if you don't work it.

I strive to stay between 600-800 but, honestly, most days I'm in the 700-800 range.  I get at least 80 grams of protein, 80-100 oz. of water and strive to stay under 40 grams of carb.   I track everything and will be the first to say that I'm not perfect at this...but I hit these goals 90% of the time.

I'm almost 4 months out and hope to be done with the weight loss part of this journey by the end of the year.
