HELP! Vitamin making me severely nauseated
I have problems with the iron in multi vitamins and always have. I have to take with food. I am 10 months out so I have worked on mastering this but I eat my food and then eat my multivitamin. If you start doing this though remember just one bite too many can be too much. You need to know what your limits are or you will throw your food back up. Also I only take it with dense protein because that works for me. For example, if you can only eat 2 oz of food, you might need to eat 1.8 oz and then take your vitamin. I hope it helps.
Try not taking it in the morning, take it at night.

Hi Shelly,
What multivitamin are you taking? Is it in chewable, liquid or capsule form? Are you taking your vitamin on a full or empty stomach? I have not had problems with nausea once I was more than 2 weeks out from surgery, but it is a fairly common topic in our support group. Since people seem to react so differently, my doctors recommends several different bariatric vitamin brands, including Wellesse liquid vitamins and Celebrate and Opurity chewables. I use Opurity which comes from the people who make Unjury protein powder. It is a big chewable but you only need take one a day and I take it when there is something in my stomach already. Does your doctor or nutrutionist ever have samples so you would not have to commit to an expensive order before trying it?
Good luck finding a vitamin that works for you. It is important.
