I think it's a lactose-free (or "purified") whey. It must be if they're calling it "Lactose Free."

Exactly, they're very tricky with labels and not being clear with customers.  I've read some customer reviews of other brands that said they were fooled by "lactose free" - so they purchased it, drank it, then had symptoms.  They reviewed the ingredients again and saw "milk" or "whey" in the ingredients, so I don't understand it either.  Doesn't make much sense to me.  If it still causes the same symptoms, then apparently they're not really removing it.

Sheesh... Now I'M confused! I just know that I was having AWFUL symptoms when using powders that weren't lactose free, and now that I've switched to LF and soy milk, I don't. You may have to buy some sample packs and play the "trial and error" game :(

Sams Club and I think also Costco sells a large sized bag that is a soy product in chocolate that has the extra vitamins and such in it that is needed.  Taste was Ok for me, but my daughters liked it so well that I still continue to buy it for them.  I prefer the Premier Protein, but that is whey based.

Yeah, I was at Sam's Club recently and all of their protein drinks had whey in them, so I'll have to check out Coscto.  One thing I found out is not all Soy protein drinks are the same.  They may say 100% Soy, but many of them carry "milk" in the ingredients, so you must look at the ingredients.  Apparently, it must indicate it's a "vegan" soy product.  There's so much for me to learn, LOL!

Seriously?!   Ugh, this is going to be harder then I thought.

With so many people being Lactose intolerant, I'm really surprised that companies like Bariatric Advantage don't have products available for those having WLS that are allergic to Whey products.
