Very HAPPY!!!
Well Friday was a great day for me! I finally passed a test at work that I was struggling with (YAY!) and I also received some news I was waiting for. My doctor has agreed to do the sleeve surgery on me!!! That's a big deal to me because she was unsure if she wanted to do the RNY or the sleeve and the sleeve is what I REALLY wanted. I have some medical issues that she was concerned with so that's why she was so unsure. But after reviewing all of my test results and my chart, she decided the sleeve would be the best option. I just completed everything I had to do on Thursday so this week they are submitting it to insurance! I can't wait to finally get a date for this surgery!!!
Yay...congratulations! Now the waiting starts. I know it is easy to say, but try to stay calm. It can be very nerve wrecking waiting for the insurance company. Just occupy your time with reading the boards and getting yourself familiar with the procedure and how to prep yourself as much as you can before. Be sure to let us know once the decision is in and you have a surgery date!
Congratulations and good luck!
