I had my surgery this morning and am in my room. I'm getting nausea with every droplet of water, every lick if ice I take. Pain I can deal with, but this worries me. Did you have this, and for how long? Thanks!

I just had mine on the 31st. I was fortunate, but the lady in the room next to me was extremely nauseated. She felt better on day 3.

I hope you feel better.

Ask your. Nurse for something for the nausea. You shouldn't have to be nauseated while in the hospital.if the nurse says there is nothing ordered for nausea, politely ask her to call the surgeon and ask for something.

they should be able to give you an antiemetic for the nausea or they may have to change your pain meds

try to drink as much as you can try ice pops , I lived on them , or broth

and walk as much as you can

I had BIG TIME nausea for 24 hrs...
Hubby had it for about 3days...gets less and less as the time goes on...
But please ask your nurse for something to combat it..I was popping anti-nausea meds like pez...I also can handle anything else...nausea..NO. WAY!!
