APPROVED!!!!!!

My paperwork was submitted to the insurance company last Tuesday and I haven't heard anything (I know I'm impatient LOL) so I called insurance to check on the status. I was VERY EXCITED to hear that I am APPROVED! My surgeon's office just emailed me as well to confirm! Still waiting on verification but I think my surgery will be scheduled for December 20th! I hope I will be able to celebrate Christmas and not be stuck in bed all day :( As long as I can watch my daughter open her gifts is all that matters to me and I will be happy with that! I'm just very happy that I have this opportunity to change my life for the better! THANK YOU UHC!!

Congrats!  My appeal will be submitted today and I hope I get approval quickly.  I just needed to have a letter from my PCP for clearance.  I'm hoping for a December 9th date.

Yea!!! Hopefully, you will get a quick date. Once I was approved, the surgeons office was ready to schedule my surgery in two weeks. Unfortunately, due to my work schedule and trying to work it around my surgeon's schedule, I actually had to wait 2 months before I could have surgery.

CONGRATS! This is a very exciting time and I wish you the best of luck. I can't even describe how much things have improved for me over the past year... it was definitely worth it!

Thank you everyone!!! They are supposed to email me some paperwork today (I'm assuming my date and anything I will need pre-op). As soon as I have a date for sure, I will post!
