im not sure how far out you are but i'm 3 months and i had high levels of b12.
you can find symptoms online of a b12 deficiency. i know we lost the part of our stomach that makes the intrinsic factor, the part that processes b12. i know vegans have issues sometimes with b12 too. because it's found in animal products.
I have a severe B-12 deficiency. For you, it may be just a regular screening, but your dr may see some symptoms in you that make him think that you have a B-12 deficiency.
WebMD has a pretty good page on it, telling the symptoms of it. My deficiency has caused one of the worse symptoms in the list. When I was diagnosed, it was because of fatigue and memory loss, which i still have. There's nothing to worry about. Right now it's just a test, and fixing the deficiency, if there is one, is usually as easy as taking a supplement or getting a shot.
