q ball nerves
I have to pull it in the am and kind of nervous. Both for lack of anesthesiA and because i'm Yanking a catheter from my abdomen in my living room. Any advice out there?
Hey, no worries... I just did this last week, but out of the abdomen. I was nervous too. Just gentle tugs and it will come right out... doesn't hurt. Weird sensation, but not painful. You will be ok, promise!

PM me if you have questions... just noticed you posted this a few minutes ago. I will be online for a bit longer, but going to bed soon. Hoping to get my drains out tomorrow first thing, yay!

Pulling the On-Q cath is not terrible. Follow the directions it came with and you will be fine. I was terrified to pull mine after the experience I had with my drain removal but it didn't hurt one bit.
