I reallYy dont understand this.

Its generated by my stomach, and its a momentary sense of a cramp maybe?  Intense pain for a second follwed by this wave of nausea.  Its 2am, and ive noT eaten since 6 pm, nothing to drink since 9 pm, asleep at 9:30.  This woke me from a dead sleep and keeps happening every few minutes.  ive felt it several times since suRgery, but it seems to be getting stronger and more frequent.

Please help me.  Im not one to vomiT- i dOnt get nauseated. Ive Literally puked once in over 20 years, so this is freaking me out.

When was your surgery? Are you taking anti nausea meds and/or  pain medication? My first few days out I was rudely awakened several times by stomach pains. Try to relax. There are so many weird things happening in your body right now.

Sounds like a spasm to me. Your surgeon can call in an anti-spasm med that it a sublingual tablet. I used Levsin post op and couldn't leave the house without it for a while. Best of luck and Merry Christmas!

I had the same thing happen to me for about the first month post-op.  What helped me was deep breathing.  It seemed that after I took some very slow, deep breaths that the pain and discomfort subsided.  I was lucky--I never had vomiting or nausea post-op.

Good luck, and hope you find relief soon.

Hello. It could also be acid reflux. It happens sometimes with the liquid & protein diet after surgery. I do agree that you should call your doctor's office to check in.  Feel better!

I had a similar thing the other night that sent me on a er room visit. Excruciating pain that lasted about 30 min. I've had it before less intense but this was horrible n I couldn't breath. I still don't know what it was. All I can say is chew all ur food really well n try not to drink with meals.
