I had my VSG surgery done on Dec 23rd by Dr. David Kim at Texas General Hospital in Grand Prairie, TX.  So far so good.....my peek weight before starting 2 week liquid diet was 302 lbs....I am now at 275 lbs.  All I have really be able to do is drink water and one BariEssential shake.   My stomach is very queasy and I hope it passes soon.  Other than that, my wounds appear to be healing well, and I don't need the prescribed pain meds so I am not taking them.  My sister had the surgery a year ago and said that the best part is yet to come so just hang in there.  At least the hard part is over and I appear to be on the mend.

Good luck to all the pre and post op VSGers out there!!

Dave,

You are doing outstandingly well!!  You are correct, this is the hardest part recovery wise.  Right around the 2 week mark you will feel pretty normal, other than tiring out a little quick.  Great loss so far!
