Flu symptoms related to preop diet?

Anyone ever experience flu like symptoms while on the preop liquid diet?  My head hurts, neck hurts, and I'm running a temp of 100.3 which is very unusual. I've been very good about drinking water so I don't think I'm dehydrated. I had my flu shot but I'd swear I'm coming down with the flu. This is day 4 of liquid diet for me. 

I would go to a Doctor if you think you have the flu and not rely on the internet for a diagnosis. If you catch it in the first 48 hrs your doctor can give you medication to lessen the symptoms. Just because you had a flu shot does not mean you can't still have the flu. It just means you caught a strain that wasn't included in your vaccine.

I also had a flu shot. I have been fighting a virus for over a month.  Sinus infection sore throat bronchitis.  Thank goodness  I'm not scheduled until Feb 26th . Go see your doctor asap  !!

There are a lot of vaccinated people getting the flu this year. Unfortunately, sometimes it's a swing and a miss with the predicted strains. My dad refused to go to the doctor, but I'd have put money on his symptoms being flu a few weeks ago, and he was vaccinated, too.

Thanks everyone.  Not feeling better this morning, so I will call the doctor's office and go in.  Wondering if I'm going to have to end up postponing surgery, but I'm not gonna go there yet.
