Excitement and some fear building!
I have to leave my house in just over 3 hours to drive to El Paso, TX, which is where I am having my surgery on Tuesday (will take me 4 hours to drive there). I should have been asleep hours ago, but I was so full of energy today. I spent the day getting everything in order - getting all the laundry done, cleaning out cars, organizing stuff for my hubby and our two kids. It reminds me of what they call "nesting" when you are about to give birth. It's that kind of nervous excitement.
I hope I can manage to catch a decent nap and make it safely there in time for my preop appointment tomorrow morning. I don't know yet what time my surgery will be on Tuesday, but I sure hope it's in the morning - the sooner I can get to it and get it done, the better!
I have to say - I am so grateful this board is here. I have learned so much by reading over the past several months while I was contemplating all of this, and I am very much looking forward to the support I'll get from being part of this after I have had my surgery. I hope to be able to share some knowledge as time goes on.
Here's wishing all of the rest of you who are going through this process this week the BEST of luck and a smooth, easy, painless postsurgical time!
Best of luck. You'll do great, and you'll love the weight loss!
Best wishes,
Carol
