I am 1 1/2 weeks post op and can't get rid of the horrible metallic taste in my mouth.  I know that I must be in ketosis, but no matter how much I brush my teeth and tongue, it won't go away. Any suggestions?????

I have been a pretty heavy atkins dieter in the past and what always worked for me was making sure I was REALLY hydrated and then chewing sugar free gum (DON'T SWALLOW IT) or sucking on some sugar-free hard candy.

Hope it goes away soon!

You're more than likely right about the ketosis. SF gum is a good idea, but I found that the more water I drank, the less I noticed it. You do kind of get used to it after a while!
