Your lowest adult weight
When I met with the medical director, he asked me what my highest and lowest weights were as an adult. I'm 28, and I think my lowest (that I can remember) was about 190 in my teenage years. I've always been a little overweight being a kid. When I was a teen, I naturally thinned out a bit, but then slowly gained weight throughout my teenage years into adulthood. Maybe I was around 160-170 when I was about 14?
So, will this affect how much I lose? I'd like to think that I can get lower than 190, my goal is 155.
Has anyone else lost past their lowest adult weight and maintained? Is it a reasonable expectation?

You can get lower than your lowest adult weight. If you couldn't most of us would stay at obese BMI's. Not all weight problems start in adulthood. I have no idea how tall you are so not sure about the number you picked but assuming you aren't 8 feet tall I think that is a totally achievable goal :)
At your age, with the right post sleeve diet, don't think small. I recommend you backwards calculate your weight for a BMI of 24.0 and set that as your goal. Regardless of anything you mentioned in the post, I think a BMI of 24.0 is very doable in your case. Just my opinion.

My lowest adult weight was 112 in my 20's. My HW was 310 about 8-10 years ago. I am 58 and would look 75 if I weighed 112 again. My body stopped losing at 135. It is kind of interesting because I think my set point weight was 130 when younger, but I kept going on diets to lose down to 115. So many years later I think this is where my body feels best. I know many don't agree with how I set my goal, but it worked for me. I just let my body take me where it felt healthy. I lost every month for 15 months and then stopped. I think you will know what is best for you. Trust yourself.
I was 180 when I graduated high school and i've never been less than that since. I sure better be able to lose past that and maintain! :D

I hit 197 on the scale this weekend and I started to think about what my weights are in my life and I remember in college for ROTC I was trying to hit a weight of 188 but I do not recall ever hitting it. So as of right now I believe I am at my lowest adult weight and in far better shape than I have ever been.
I think whatever goal you set is reasonable as long as you stay focused, do not get frustrated and keep working toward your goal. My goal is to get to 184 so I can say I lost 200lbs but I do not expect I will stay there. I like the 200-210 range I am on the verge of becoming scrawny and I have always been a more formidable presence.

I got lower than my lowest adult weight by about 25 lbs. You can do it. Shoot for a normal BMI. You are young too which is always a plus. I bet you can get to your 155 goal.
I have been thinking about this alot. I am approaching my lowest weight since my 30's when I lost 100 lbs in the past, 214 lbs. I remember being around 170-180 in my early 20's. I am 54. I set my goal at 170. How cool would that be to be the same as in my 20's? I still can not wrap my head around being that size. I'll just keep my nose to the grind stone and let's see where I end up!
