Hi all, I thought I posted this question a couple days ago, but I cannot find it! I am having the sleeve procedure in 2 weeks, I need recommendations on protein shakes. Is it worth the money to buy from the "bariatric" companies? I love the advocare chocolate shakes but the carbs are kind of high, around 24? Please let me know your opinions....

I like the Costco ones.I will say they are not that expensive and they taste pretty good.I like being able to grab and run out of the house so the ones that are pre-made work out well.I do have unflavored powder that I do mix in my hot cocoa once in a while.

I buy this protein powder -- http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Standard-Double-Chocolate/dp/B000QSNYGI/ -- and I mix it with unsweetened original almond milk.  This works out to be 150 cal, 3.5 g fat, 5 g carb, 25 g protein for 8 ounces.  I think they're super tasty.

I love premier protein too. A case at Sam's club is just under 20.00. I can't wait to start full liquids so I can have one!

I like the Premier from Sams.  But the syntrax nectar are by far much better and worth every penny.  I took a photo that I can't find now of all the protein stuff I bought pre-surgery.  I couldn't get it all on my table.  I have thrown out 1/2 of it (several 100 $$ worth)  I am trying to get thru the stuff I can' stand so I can order more Syntras nectar low/no carb powder mix.

Thank you, is there a Syntrax that is berry flavored or what kind do you use?

Lots and they are great for early out as they are thin enough to get down.

I do buy them on another site as I can get them cheaper.  These are the one I bought and liked with the Cappuccino being my favorite and also made with decaf.  Other brands were good but, made with caffeine and my new tummy didn't need that even if I was allowed.
