Hi all,  I just got sleeved on wed 3/12. Came home yesterday. Working on getting in all my liquids but it's hard. Also trying to build up the walking. All in all I can't complain I'm more sore then in actual pain.

Any words of wisdom or encouragement are appreciated!

Congrats Blessed! I'm 1 day post op myself. You've come this far by choice so you already have a great start on moving into a healthier lifestyle. Keep walking and sipping and the soreness will continue to subside!!

Glad you're doing well! It will be difficult to get in your liquid numbers for a while. Just keep plugging away at it every day and you'll get there eventually. Just keep an eye out for signs of dehydration (and watch the color of your urine - the lighter, the better).

Take care of yourself! Welcome to the Losers' Bench :)

I'm in the same boat so not sure how much advise I can offer: I was sleeved on 3/11. Just listen to your body and take it easy. Do not pu**** So far I avoided vomiting.  It is also very personal, everyone's recovery is different and from what I am seeing everyone's food plan varies from doc to doc. My doc suggest clear liquids for the first week post op, and I will keep to his suggestions.

It's hard but we can make it:) I am sure we will cross paths on this bboard again, but if you have questions this seems to be a good medium to seek answers and advice.

Congrats!  The first 3 days are rough.  Getting your walking in..sip all day . Nectar protein drink mix helped me. It's delicious and easy to drink and have 23 grams of protein and very light   that was my life saver.   Get a head on your constipation.  Ask your doctor for collese stool softeners. 2x a day. And on day 4 drink  deluted prune juice.  ..good luck

I agree on the suggestion about staying ahead of your constipation.  I was sleeved on 3/12 and spent a rather unpleasant hour in the restroom this evening.  Wish I had started the Colace earlier!

I was sleeved on 3/12 and hand terrible constipation on post op day#2.  Today has been the complete opposite, so I am worried about taking any type of stool softener yet.  Of course, this is somewhat the norm for me since my gallbladder came out 3 years ago, so I guess I will just continue to deal with it!
