Color Me Awesome!

I did the Color Run 5K today. I didn't run the whole thing, but I ran a lot of it, and I could have done more, but I didn't want to get too separated from my friends - one of whom just had surgery to have her gall bladder removed last week *** rockstar, I was barely getting in a couple laps on my street right after my surgery, and I was wiped!). This 5K was just for the fun/experience of it (it's one where you get splattered with color - cornstarch w/food coloring at various stations along the route and at the end you get some pouches of color to throw at the finish festival). Next week I am doing the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure 5K, and next month I'm doing the Glow Run. I am so excited to be doing this!

Hey Laurie - thanks for the referral - if I had known that was what her thread was about I would have responded (I just did).  I like Active.com for telling me about upcoming races in my area.

I replied, too. I also find mine through active.com, but also through friends (word of mouth), Facebook, and local advertising.

My very first 5K was a Run or Dye, and it was awesome!  5Ks are a great hobby.  I just did the Women Rock and next month I'm going to do the Fargo Marathon 5K (i better get training then!).

Congratulations!  You rock!  A 5k is on my bucket list.  I really want to do one of the Zombie ones where you dodge volunteers dressed like zombies who chase you.

They do a Zombie Run here in the fall close to Halloween. I want to do that this year, too!

I'm doing the Color Run this summer!  I'm so excited :)  I figured this would be a good 5K for my very first one, since it's "just for fun".  Not timed and you get shot with color the whole time haha.  Hoping it will be the first of many!  Congrats!
