8 weeks out and a stall

My dr's eating plan is to eat two oz meals three times a day. No snack.  One protein shake.  I take in 64oz or more of water, less than 30g carbs, and 70+ gr protein.  I walk between 3-5 miles a day at work.  My calories are typically between 500-600 each day.  So... The weight has been steadily coming off.  Until 9 days ago.  Since then I am within the same pound, up and down.  My cousin is a personal trainer and thinks I need to eat more to jump start metabolism to get out of starvation mode But with no snacks allowed in plan 500-600 is typically all I can get in.  Anyone else stall at 7-8 weeks?  Any thoughts?  Thanks!

We have almost identical meal plans and I'm 8 weeks post-op as of two days ago. I know I'm going to stall big time this week since I added six hours of exercise to my week!  My body will likely freak out and not want to give up any weight.

Your body might be doing the same thing, especially if you haven't had any stalls up to this point. Just stick to the plan and you'll be fine :)

Hi  I had a stall at 8 weeks.  I am 9 weeks now and lost 2 pounds in the last 3 days - but nothing for the 5 before it.  Sometimes I play with my carbs (only healthy carbs) and have a few more some days.  The other thing is to maybe change up your exercise.  IT will both make it more interesting and kick start things if your body is used to walking.  Intervals are very good (alternating walk with slow jog).  Also - weight training is important so we don't lose as much muscle.  You could try elliptical or biking some days instead of walking.  I'm sure the stall will break even if you don't change anything though!

As everyone keeps telling me this is not a Stall. This is just your body adjusting. A Stall lasts several weeks. You are doing great. Keep up the good work and it will come off.

My best advice is to just keep doing what you are doing.  For the 6 months since surgery I have lost in a stepwise fashion.  Lose a few then nothing for 7-14 days.  My best defense was to just keep going.  I don't make any drastic changes.  I try to get in as much protein and water as I can and "just keep swimming". I say that every time I get on the scale the same number or an extra pound shows up.  Frustrating yes, but the weeks go by and the pounds finally add up.  Good luck!
