Success!
I did it! I am on day 5 of my preop liquid diet and I made it through hosting a Memorial Day cookout! I cooked baked beans this morning and hubby grilled burgers. I served food including desserts and never even was tempted to sneak a bite. AND the ones who don't know about my upcoming surgery never even noticed. I can't believe it. This whole thing is such a mind game isn't it?
Good for you! Yes it's such a mind game. I wasn't as successful as you. I had 2 peanuts, one popcorn, and a whole dumpling. Not much but I still cheated ): how many weeks do you have to be on your diet before surgery? 3 weeks for me. I think this is going to be the biggest challenge for me. 2 more weeks to go Tuesday. When's your surgery? All the best!

What shall I return to the Lord for all his bounty to me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord, I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful ones.
O Lord, I am your servant; I am your servant, the child of your serving girl. You have loosed my bonds. -- Psalm 116:12-16
