Exercise for the non-exerciser
I'm also going to recommend the at home exercise videos. ( If you have kids with a video game system, you can get an exercise game.) Try a few different ones until you settle on something you can make yourself do a few times a week. You might find that you enjoy it after a while.
Here's a crazy question: is there a way you can cut down on your hours, or flex them a bit so that you can exercise before work on a day or two during the week? I ask because last year I realized that my frequent travel was a big reason I had a hard time sticking to a diet or exercise program. I'm pre-op and the behaviorist recognizes it will be one of my biggest challenges. So I am working with my team to share the travel load and it's helping.
