Checking in. Many NSVs to report
Hi there! I have always been more of a reader than a poster on this site but I feel like it's good to share the positives of this process.
I am very thankful to list the following as "fringe benefits" of being on this journey. I had my surgery on 1/28/2014 and in a little less than 5 months I've lost 65 pounds and gained the following:
I'm sleeping with my hubby again thanks to no more snoring!
I am currently wearing PJs that are size XL - no numbers in front!
I had room LEFT in my seatbelt on the airplane on our recent vacation instead of needing to ask for an extender.
I walked around Disneyland for 5 days without being in excruciating pain in my feet!
I have so much more energy!
I'm starting to feel like my outside reflects better how I feel on the inside.
I am definitely one to count among the grateful that I was able to embark on this journey and I need to remember that so I'm sharing with all of you!
Congratulations!!! I know the feeling. When I first put on a size XL t-shirt, I cried. It had been 8 years since I wore anything below XXL and XXXL. I also just recently crossed my legs for the first time in years. It is a blessing to be able to do the little things that we used to take for granite. Enjoy your successes and may many, many more come your way!!! :)
How awesome! What great success you're having :D It's amazing and you're really living up to your user name :D
