Round about compliments! lol!

After losing 45 pounds from my heaviest weight, I have heard many compliments.

Then there are people *****fuse to acknowledge my weight loss.

The funniest one:  One co-worker who I meet in halls everyday has said this to me for the last 5 days in a row, "Wow!  That color looks so good on you!"  And I have worn a different color everyday!

Thought I would share.  lol !

Some people feel it's a little taboo to mention someone's weight loss. My husband is that way. He doesn't want to come across as if he thought someone was fat before. Also, the person may not realize yet why you look so good, they can just tell something is different, kind of like when someone shaves their beard, sometimes you just know something is different but can't figure out what it is. Either way, it's great that you are doing so well. Congratulations!!!

I saw someone the other day whom I have not seen in a few years and last time I saw him was also after a long time previously. So last time I saw him he congratulated me because he thought I was pregnant! LOL! This time, he said, I think you lost some weight. May I compliment you? That was cute! I said, not only may he, but he must!!

Congrats on your weight loss!

Been there! My own grandmother acted like she didn't even notice that I'd lost 120+ pounds when I saw her 2 weeks ago! Now, I know that my sister is her favorite, but it was just comical how she went on and ON about how long my sister's hair is and didn't say ANYTHING about my weight loss! (And my sister has GAINED like 50 pounds...)

I've lost just about 75 pounds and, so far, the only people who have commented are the few people who know I had surgery.  (And the gym owner, since he sees me busting my butt at the gym.)  I'm totally fine with this - I figure that other people have noticed, they're just too polite to comment on my weight.

It's so funny because both my husband and I haven't told a lot of people about our surgeries...but both of us get kind of miffed that we've lost all this weight and people who SHOULD notice don't say a word!
