Working on my post-weight loss bucket list
Well my partner will be running the marathon at the same running event, but that doesn't count. My bff, when I told her I was signing up, signed up too so that she can run with me and cheer me on! (She's a runner, so she already knows she can run a 5k.) It will be amazing :D

Buy a custom bike & go for a loooong ride!
There is a trail near us that is about 26 miles one way...not sure I could do round trip but I want to get further than my last attempt. I made it about 7 miles one way and had to turn back. I was so upset because I felt like I was holding my husband back.
Also, Trek makes custom bikes where they weigh and measure you. I'd love to buy one and not be embarrassed to be weighed and measured!
Good luck with your list! Many of your goals are mine too!
What a great idea Sandra! I wamt to:
- Go jogging without things jiggling uncontrollably...
- RUN in a 5K
- Go jogging with my kids
- Visit Italy, I would REALLY love to do this
- Go to a Detoit Tigers or Detroit Lions (yes, I said "Detroit Lions" lol) game without getting winded
- Learn ballroom dance or Salsa (again, without jiggliness)
- Buy my first Harley and join an all ladies bike group

Sitting around sick for 5 months gave me a lot of time to come up with a bucket list. It helped keep me sane knowing that I would be able to do the things that motivated me to get the surgery in the first place!
- Conquer my fear of heights. I'm a work in progress but a few weeks ago I walked the glass skywalk at the Grand Canyon! I looked over the edge and spent a good 20 minutes out there until I was comfortable. Is this weight related? Yes and no. This surgery has given me the confidence that I can do anything I set my mind to and can fight any set backs!
- Zip Lining...yes!! Another height thing that I would have tried anyway if I wasn't too big to do it.
- Hike a mountain again. I used to be an avid hiker before my car accident in 2000 (the start of the worst of my weight gain). I want to be able to hike a mountain and sit at the top and thank God for giving me another chance.
- River rafting
- Kayaking (done! and I just bought one I loved it so much!)
- Travel! Go to all the places I didn't because I thought it would be a waste of money not being able to do all the things there were to do there.
- Ride a bike. After my car accident I had to give up bikes, hikes and roller blades. I was too injured and then too fat. I've been biking on our gravel roads out in the country...it's like going through mud somedays and a major work out. I love it!
- Roller skating...I have them and am just waiting to get out on some pavement!
- Running. I haven't started yet. Still have the fear I'm too big, out of shape and my knees will give out on me. It's coming soon.
- Shop shop shop! I am enjoying wearing nice clothes to work for the first time in 20 years! I dress up because I have so many choices. Before it was the same two pairs of black dress pants and some ugly tops because that's what fit.
There is so much more but these are my top ten!
Oh wait...number 11! High heeled shoes!!! I can walk in anything now that I'm not trying to balance an extra 100lbs!!!
