Neck pain after Sleeve Surgery on July 9

I had sleeve surgery on July 9. I was released from the hospital on July 11. Since I have been home I have had neck pain and upper shoulder pain along with a stiff neck. I'm wondering if this is normal and if there is anything other than a heating pad I can do for relief?

How are you sleeping?  It could be from sleeping propped up or in a chair, like some of us did after surgery.  The shoulder pain could also be from the gas they used during surgery, and that will be gone soon...walking will help get rid of it.

I've tried sleeping all different ways. On my Side, my back, my stomach. I've tried heat and ice. It's lIke a really bad stiff neck going into my shoulders.

Have you spoken to your surgeon and if you haven't I highly suggest you do!!! I had shoulder pain really bad it was gas  build up apperantly it nests there... but you really need to let your Dr know !!! :-)
