Hi everyone! I am one day post op and feeling great!

I am having trouble getting all my liquids in because nearly every time I try to drink I get some stomach cramps. While these are not too terribly painful --I hope these will stop soon.

Congrats!

You might want to try other temperatures, sometimes warm things are easier to drink than cool/cold things.

It should get better, took 1-2 weeks before the cramps went away for me. I ate a lot of sugar free pop cycles when I could not drink.

Welcome to the loser's bench. I'm five days out and the first few were really awful for me so I'm glad you are having a good experience!

Taking REALLY small sips, drinking clear liquids other than water and experimenting with temperature helped me.

Congratulation!!  I echo what Greesleeved stated, super super small sips. This is what cured my stomach from doing crazy flip flips every time I drank. Took me 5 days to figure it out. I also did better with luke warm liquids, particularly tea. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Agreed,  SMALLER SIPS.  When I take in too much at one time I get cramps.  They don't last long, but they are there!

Welcome to the loser's bench!    I second the suggestion of drinking only warm or lukewarm drinks at first.  The new tummy doesn't always like cold stuff in the beginning.
