Dumping after vsg
Very interesting article, and contrary to a lot of what I've learned! Regardless, I'm certainly glad I've never had this experience, it sounds unpleasant :/

My doctor seems to believe there is some possibility of dumping with the sleeve. Just the smaller stomach and less time with the digestive juices may cause some types of food to hit your intestine differently. He told me I'll know if it happens. He said you get hot, sweaty and then will need to get to the bathroom asap.
From personal experience, it does happen. I suffered from it for several years although it rarely hapens to me any more. From the beginning of maintenance, I couldn't eat high fat/high sugar foods without being physically ill. My doctor was concerned about how thin I was becoming and wanted me to add these foods in to stop the weightloss. I threw up several times, that kept me away from my kryptonitre- ice cream. Now, post 6 years, I rarely dump, but if I happen to have some full fat ice cream shortly after my dinner, I will be sick. I LOVE my sleeve and only wish that I still felt the dumping as intensely as I did in the beginning. Nothing like negative reinforcement to keep us on track!
