Hello! It's been a minute since I've posted anything. I had my VSG on 7/8/14. I had my gallblader removed on 7/29/14. So far I have lost 50lbs. Last week I gained 2 lbs. This is my second week on solid foods and I have been over eating! I've had a lot going on(issues at work, home, school!!!.).I couldn't eat anything for so long so could that be the reason? I don't want to ruin my sleeve! For example, when I feel full, I keep eating. I ate a little over a cup of black beans, cheese, and maybe 6 jalepeno peppers. For breakfast, that same day, I ate 2 egg whites w salsa and a piece of bacon. Felt full, kept eating... Didn't vomit. I called my nutritionist and psych but niether have gotten back to me. I weighed myself again today and I've gained another pound. Have I stretched my sleeve? Any advice would be appreciated?

Are you measuring or weighing your food?? If you are and you feel that you are still over eating then cut your portion sizes down.  At 2 months out I'm limiting myself to 1.5-2.5 ounces depending on the density of the protein.  If I eat 1.5 ounces of chicken I'm completely satisfied whereas I can eat 2.5 ounces of beef chilli before I'm full.

I also used to be a stress/emotional eater as well as I'm sure most people here on OH are/were.  Try to find another outlet.  This is a new lifestyle you're giving yourself and you've gotta embrace it! If you don't hear back from your nut then call again and ask for advice. Try pre planning your meals with something like myfitnesspal so you have a plan for your day and know how much to eat and when to eat.  Good luck.  You can do this!

I just have a digital food scale it measures ounces and grams.  You can get decent scales on amazon for like 10-15 bucks.

Have to ask are you trying to eat until you do vomit?  Please stop when you are full or not even full but completed a cup of food...you do not want to ruin your sleeve!!

Maybe you need to see a therapist? I know eating when I was already full and eating when not hungry is what got me to >400lbs in the 1st place!!

Best Wishes!!

I called my therapist that I used for the psych eval. I guess she was gone for the day. No I wasn't trying to vomit. I just thought that if you over ate, it would cause you to get sick. Just pointing out that that didnt happen.

Here to tell you that I can overeat a LOT and will never vomit...so stop trying to test that theory.  You'll just overeat until you feel absolutely miserable.

This early out I wouldn't be pushing it past 1/2 c. of food or 2 oz. of dense protein at a time.

Maybe you should measure out everything and pack lunch and snacks for school and work. I also work FT and go to school...and I typically do a shake for breakfast, 3 oz of chicken or deli meat and a cheese stick for lunch, and then a small dinner with maybe another shake.
