Newbie here. Waiting for my surgery date

Hello all. I have been lurking for a few weeks and just wanted to introduce myself. I am 33, a grad student, and mom to 3 little ones. I had my consultation with a doctor here in Tampa last Tuesday and he thinks I am a good candidate for the VGS. I already did my psych eval yesterday and my consultation with the gastro for the endoscopy which I will get next Friday. And that's all I need according to my insurance company. They will submit all my paperwork to the insurance company after that and they should be able to get me in by December. I am so excited and can't wait to finally get my weight under control. I am hoping to connect with some people here for information and support!

Hi and welcome

Welcome.  I'm pretty much a newbie myself.  Still pre-op.  I get my endoscopy next Friday also! Upper GI on the same day.  Waiting for insurance approval to get a date.   I'm hoping my date is before December, I'll be happy to hear anything at the moment!  Good Luck!
