2 months post op
I'm pre-op, so I can't answer the question you're asking but I have to say I would be thrilled beyond belief if I lost 38 lbs in 2 months. It took me 3 years to lose 40 lbs and that was with a low calorie diet and faithful exercise. I got injured in September 2013 and was unable to continue the exercise routine and gained 35 of those 40 lbs back in the first 6 months of this year. I'm trying to take off just 5 pounds for my pre-op diet and have not ben able to get it off now in 3 weeks! 5 measly pounds!! I set out to walk several miles a day, and after the 3rd day I had bursitis in my knee and am basically back to the pool until it feels better. So, so frustrating! So, yeah…I'll be dancing on air if I am able to say I dropped nearly 40lbs at 2 months!
Everyone is going to be different. I think if you get responses they will be both more and less than you're number. There are so many factors that come into play. Just follow your plan, so what you're supposed to be doing and you will do well. Good Luck!
Congratulations on your weight loss! 38 pounds in 2 months is almost 20 pounds a month. That's excellent. I lost 20 pounds my first month and 15 the second month. Just to put it in perspective, I went on to lose 225 pounds and reach goal in a little over a year. So You are doing great! Remember, the weight loss process is a marathon, not a sprint. You'll get there!
Keep up the good work!

I am a little bit past 2 months and have lost 46lbs since my pre-op and 35lbs since my surgery date so we are pretty similar.
I think it is more mental for me right now. I just can't really see it if that makes any sense.
I just keep moving along one day and a time and hoping my head catches up with my body.
You've lost 38 pounds in 2 months?! That's almost 5 pounds a week! That's phenomenal!! How much were you expecting you'd have lost by now?

I am 2 months out today and have lost 35 lbs total from pre op diet and since surgery. I too feel like its not enough and I have been in a stall for 16 days and haven't lost a thing! I know it will pass (or at least I keep telling myself that) and I read on these boards all about it but its just so hard when those silly numbers on the scale dont move! I know my body is changing from comments I get but why am I so stuck on that scale number! But this early out I really wasn't expecting no weight loss for 16 days! Yikes! It does mess with your mind for sure! I'm sure I am not alone in this and do love these boards for support! We are all here for each other! :-)
