Omeprazole. I can't swallow the little beads

Hi lionhouds....I'm a neighbor in Cleveland :-)

I had to take Omeprozole for a short time before surgery and for a while afterwards.  I tried opening them and mixing the beads with my liquids (as suggested by the nurse) right after surgery and had a hard time.  I was able to just swallow the capsule almost right away.  Call your surgeon's office and see if they have another option or if you can swallow the capsule. 

I was instructed to open the capsule - and mix with yogurt - try that and see if it helps.
