How much do you eat for how long?

I see a lot of people soon after surgery are eating about 2 oz at a time and I hear a lot about 3-4 oz for sleevers.  I'm just curious how long you'll be eating 3-4 oz, is that for life?  Or do you eventually eat more at one time?  Thanks!

The way my surgeon explained it to me is not everyon's sleeve will be the same size. The average is 3-4 oz but, depending on your size, body type, and height your may be able to hold a little more than that.

I think the big key is to take it easy at first, and find what the sweet spot is for you.

For me some days it seems like I can't hold hardly anything- then other days I'd swear I could hold 8-10 oz.

You just have to get to know your sleeve... and while it will get a little bigger over time - you should plan on only being able to eat 3-4 oz for life.

I feel the same as Scott. Some days I don't feel like I can eat anything and other days (like today) I could probably just keep snacking and hold a lot more. It really depends on your sleeve size. I agree that 3-4 oz is what you should plan on for life with the sleeve.

I'm 7 months out and I measure my meals to be 4 ounces. I could eat more, but I'm satisfied with 4 ounces, so why, eh?

When I measure out my proteins, I aim for 3 ounces.  It's even to keep me satisfied without being stuffed.  Prior to surgery, I liked to eat until I felt on the verge of exploding.  Now I'm content eating much smaller quantities and I'm not feeling physical hunger.  Eating on a schedule, the same time every day, seems to help me feel satiated.

It's amazing the first year how little brings satiety.  At 9 yrs out, how much I can eat greatly depends on what I'm eating, how moist it is, how dense it is and whether there's a Gibbeous mooon.  Seriously - some days are tiny tummy days and some days are I will kill you for that chicken leg kind of day.  On average, I'd say I can eat 8-12oz these days at a meal, usually half that for snacks.
