Weight loss

I've been told that sleevers only lose 60-70% of excess weight on average. Has anyone loss more than the average. I have 86 lbs of excess weight and was hoping to lose more than 60-70%. I have diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol so I think it would take more than the average weight loss. Look forward to hearing from you.

I have seen posts on here where one has lost over 100 lbs having the sleeve surgery. I am like you, I need to lose 85 lbs. Surgery in 2 weeks. I believe you will be able to lose your 86 lbs! Did you have your surgery recently?

That is the average, but there are people who lose 100% of excess body weight with the sleeve. I did and several others on this forum have, too. It can be done! :) I am 5'6" and went from 285 to 144. I lost 30 lbs before surgery and 111 after. I'm one year out.

I have 80 - 90  pounds to lose and have lost 57 so far.  I am only 3.5 months out.  I fully intend on losing all 80 pounds.   I think those are averages but many of us reach goal and in some cases more than goal.  If you follow the plan and stick to it you will lose it. The sleeve is am amazing tool but it is just a tool.  It is not a magic pill.

Good luck. You can do it.

I am 5'5" and I weighed 297 at the start of this journey.

I currently sit at 181 lbs. I have lost 116 lbs, which translates to 73% of my excess weight. THUS FAR. I know people on here who have lost much, much more.

I am only 9 months post-op so I am still losing. I fully intend to get down to 150 which is a normal BMI for me. I've never seen "normal" so that would be my goal.

Wishing you lots of luck as you figure out if this is the right choice for you.

Well... I'm 5'4", I started at 319 and my ideal weight is 120.  As of today, about 8.5 months post-op, I've lost 119 pounds this year which puts me at 60% excess weight lost.  I can't see why I'd stop losing weight now, since I'm still sticking to the plan and everything.

You'll lose the weight you want to lose based on your commitment to your plan.

Since my consult, I've lost 80%. From 329 to 194. I'm 8 months post surgery. Also, considering my lowest weight ever was 160 in college, my ideal weight is more like 170. Plus the tons of extra skin. I'm guessing I will be at 90% by a year.
