Stomach or Intestinal Blockage

Hi there. I had gastric sleeve July of 2013. I've lost 152 pounds so far and have a little more to go, but for the last couple of months I throw up almost every time I eat. It feels like something gets stuck and I either have to throw up or wait forever for it to pass. I chew very slowly, and although it happens most frequently with meats or chicken or fi**** can happen even with water. And what I throw up is bile, maybe with small particles of food, but lots of bile. I have to schedule an endoscopy, and I'm thinking it's a stomach or intestinal blockage. Has anyone ever dealt with this, and what was done? I'm afraid I may need surgery.....Just wondering.....

I had a similar issue at 3 months post-op, my capacity suddenly went from 4 ounces to less than 1. I saw my surgeon and he put me on an anti-spasmodic for 10 days and had me revert back to liquids for 3 days and then pureed foods for 3 days.  Everything cleared up and I haven't had any problems since.  

You should definitely get in touch with your surgeon ASAP.  

Oh thanks! That's encouraging. I was thinking the only fix might be surgery. That gives me some hope. Yeah, I'm bad at getting myself to the doctors. I'll make an appointment.

I know what you mean about being bad about getting to docs.  Making the phone call is always the hardest - once it's on the calendar, I'm golden!
