8 days post op
Your goal for liquids is much more important than your goal for protein right now. The good news is that protein drinks count towards your goal. Everything wet counts, and 64oz is not something to work up to - it's a minimum requirement, and I've accomplished it already this morning.

Yeah, don't weigh yourself!! There are a lot of posts like this right after surgery (I think I may have even posted similar). Look at the big picture, you're down 7 lbs in 8 days!! That is wonderful. You're only 8 days post a major surgery and the weight will come off. Keep doing everything you're suppost to and you'll be rewarded!
Make liquids your primary goal! Of course, protein shakes count toward the liquid goal, so it shouldn't be too challenging to reach both goals together with dedicated sipping throughout the day :)
Stick to your plan and you'll achieve the results you want. Remember, it's not a race.

Grin and bear it.
It will break. And then, watch the lbs come off.
