Day 2 on pre op diet. Not easy but getting  through  it. Anyone have any suggestions on making it any easier...or does it get better??

I'm on it now, too. They are all different so I'll tell you mine: a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch, and 5 oz. lean meat and 1 cup veggies for dinner.

I have been on it for a week now (started early because I had had so much junk during the holidays). When I'm at work, it's not so bd because I'm busy, but I still get hungry. I'm allowed to have SF Popsicles and SF Jello, so I usually have one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Right around 4 I start getting really hungry, and tea seems to help- I like the Good Earth Sweet and Spicy.

That's all I've got- except to say- you're not alone. :)

Thanks for responding. I'm on the exact same diet. Lol I'm glad I'm not alone. Good luck on your Journey!  This will all be worth it! We can do this..

Preop since  12/28. Shake for breakfast lunch and snack and dinner us usually a salad with some kind of meat. I'm usually ravenous  by the  time I get home from the gym. Trying to walk 2 miles every day. My date is 1/13.

I am on day 6 and it really has not been that bad, BUT I am allowed shakes or bars and then 5oz lean meat and 2 cups of  vegs for dinner (per surgeon).  I didn't realize that 5oz is alot and I am really eating about 3-4oz.  This is my first weekend but I am planning for next week (week 2 preop and also post op)a.  I am truly amazed that I am not miserable.  However there was a working lunch meeting last week where someone was eating the full meal deal from McDonalds.  That was hard but my mind is set. Really,  I have had all the McDonalds, Whataburger, Taco anywhere, supersize this and that and look where I am.

My surgery date is 1/19 and I meet with my surgeon 1/12, as they say "let's get it started".

Hang in there.

My pre-op diet was all shakes.  Only shakes.  And SF popsicles.

It gets easier after the first 3-4 days.  Hang in there.
